Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin's theory of evolution was so revolutionary because it suggested that God did not create man, but rather we evolved from apes. Darwin also is considered one of the most important figures in world history. I disagree. He made a discovery, true, and yes it was important. But it wasn't THAT Fantastic. Darwin's theory changed the world by introducing the idea that species are able to evolve or change, due to their environment and surroundings.
Darwin found himself bored in school. He  wanted to study nature, not Latin. He studied for university because at that time the Church WAS science so, to study science you had to be part of the Church. Darwins' voyage on the Beagle was feared because it was close quarters, and Darwin being a 6ft male, that was a problem. He also became violently seasick. Darwin published his work because another author did a piece similar to his. Darwin was ridiculed for his work. He was put in cartoons and called mad, yet he was respected by many. The core premise of the book Origin Of Species was that animals evolve from their environment.
